Functions and Events
Campbell House is an exclusive venue with the facilities to host a variety of functions. From a formal cocktail party or an intimate wedding, to a children’s garden party or causal braai next to the pool, we will tailor a package to suit your needs and your budget. Should you require, our event management team can assist in the planning, execution and management of your perfect event.
Capacity: Seated: The Patio maximum 60 guests
Banquet: The Conservatory maximum 50 guests.
Banquet: The Boardroom maximum 30 guests
Banquet: The Blue Room maximum 40 guests
Cocktail/Alfresco: maximum 120 guests
Venue hire: Exclusive use of Campbell House allows you to utilise the entire property including all Campbell House services and facilities for the time period quoted. Should you require access to the venue for set-up and strike-down before or after the day of the event, an applicable venue hire may be charged, subject to availability.
Equipment hire: Campbell House has certain furniture and equipment including tables and chairs; crockery; cutlery; glassware and table linen, sufficient for 60 guests, which you are welcome to use and are included in the venue hire. Any additional furniture and equipment that may be required can be hired from our preferred service provider or alternatively you are welcome to provide yourself. Please liaise with our function co-ordinator for a price list and to ensure that all equipment is hired and set-up on time for the function.
Menu: Campbell House does have a catering service and we would be delighted to provide you with a quotation. Alternatively, you are welcome to use your own catering service. The venue hire includes full use of Campbell House kitchen facilities for catering purposes.
Bar: Campbell House is not licensed and does not charge corkage. You are welcome to provide your own bar service. Alternatively, Campbell House will organise your bar and charge on consumption. We do not have facilities to offer a cash bar.
Waitrons: Campbell House provides two cleaning staff included in the venue hire cost. All waiter services are outsourced. In most instances the catering service will provide waitrons. If not, our function co-ordinator will happily arrange waitering staff for your function; all costs for which will be for your account. If Campbell House is catering your event then waitrons and bar staff are included in the catering price quoted.
Music: Campbell House is located in a residential area and we are therefore subject to noise restraints. We are not allowed to play loud music at the venue; however background music is welcome. We reserve the right to control the volume of the music at all time. The use of a DJ, public announcement systems, microphones and/or megaphones is prohibited at all times. Please consult with our function co-ordinator for further information on the music level permissible.
Parking: Campbell House has sufficient on-site secure parking for 45 cars. Any overflow may park on the street, however for evening functions it is recommended that a guard be hired for the duration of the function. Please consult our function co-ordinator for further details.
Packages / Quotation: At Campbell House we believe each client is unique and their event / function should have its own special touch. As such we do not have set packages but prefer to tailor a quotation to the client’s preference. If you would like a quotation for your event or function, please provide our function co-ordinator with the following information:
• Date of event
• Number of guests expected
• Expected start time of event
• Anticipated end time of event
• Will you require catering and if so, what is your preference?
• Will the event be a sit-down affair or cocktail style, picnic, high-tea, etc.
